We are crafting the Billion People Phone for the bottom of the pyramid and the Super Poor People of the developing world. The hardware is Open Source and printable on the simplest electronics circuit board printers, thus easy to manufacture in very small quantities. The software is based on Android mobile software & Open Social mashup as the 'Bphone-evolution' platform for ease of transparent use and ease of application building. The FOSS software platform 'Bphone-evolution' is very useful for personal Democracy applications, for social applications, for community building, for social and human communication, for SMS voting, for identification of users and social networking. This phone is also an Open source Manufacture mobile for all electronics shops, hobbyists, manufacturerers and eventually the individuals with an advanced circuit board printer. We need help with software development, design, ideas and leadership bleeding edge extreme developers to help us bundle the FOSS Android software with some limited tools of Open Social and thus create the democratic appilcation of the simple Bphone (BillionPeoplePhone). Bphone runs into a simple utility software project for the poor people of the developing world to be able to reach emergency services, life medicine, health care, emergency localization, polling, voting, voice communication, and a social SMS. This is a GSM phone with a software SIM card and IP stack with open OT-AP settings and capacity for callback, social roaming, native network acceptance.

Hey folks,
The intersection and the intentional community of a debian fork between Open Social and the Android is no more.
Now we mashup the basic kernel of the two into a new OS for our Billion People Mobile Roaming phone with a soft switch
based on web services and a soft SIM.
Come and play...
